Intro to a series of ways to reduce carbon footprinting through use and practice of minimalism through clothing (not lifestyle)

Welcome to the intro to a series of future posts for ways to begin a minimalistic journey with clothing.
I’m going to give two ways to approach a minimalist (clothing) journey for those looking to do so, and (two) examples to accommodate each. Keep in mind that there isn’t a right or wrong way to do it, nor a point where you necessarily have to start.

On the Fence? No worries
The first way is the easiest; starting with the things that you already have. This approach guide will be for those on the fence about getting rid of excess clothing through things like donating and giving away (not throwing out). Donating and giving away (and throwing away…if it’s a must) can be seen as aggressive ways to begin a journey towards this process. I’ll start simply by giving alternative ways to help get started with the things that you already have. There are ways that this approach can be fun, but it’ll be in regards to working with what you already have and more importantly reducing carbon footprint.

From Scratch
The second is not necessarily starting completely from scratch, but will be a guide for those looking to start a journey through buying or acquiring clothing, with limitations. This can also be seen as a journey begun or rebuilding your wardrobe after donating or giving away excess clothes. The two examples that I have in mind are for those who would like to work their way into the process from the start and continue from there. There will actually be good tips to work into this from the first concept mentioned, but this will be given with the thought process of “buying” your way into it.
Continue to the next series of posts throughout the next few weeks to find out how using these various concepts. Each will provide an outlook on how to manage and maintain clothing consumption with the ultimate goal of carbon footprint reduction.
Keeping the planet and atmosphere green and clean.
