Be Creative

Updated: Dec 7, 2021

Create a blog post subtitle that summarizes your post in a few short, punchy sentences and entices your audience to continue reading.

Another way to practice minimalism, or begin a journey to minimalism in clothing with the things you have, is to be creative with your wardrobe. Those pair of pajama pants that you think just keep you cozy and comfortable during late nights? Naw, their also those quick errand pants that are needed for last minute grocery shopping as well as party pants for a range of events like New Year’s Eve and homecoming parties.

Just Go with it

There can be numerous reasons why you see a person who isn’t necessarily “dressed” for the occasion. They may not have had an outfit appropriate for what they’re doing, but the important thing for them may be that, to just do it. Like I said in the previous post, there is no right or wrong way to practice minimalism, just as long as you have the right mindset towards it. Like the sub header says, just go with it.

Party Everywhere

I remember numerous times when I was staying with my dad when he was stationed in Mississippi that those navy blue Perry Ellis pajama pants (or green plaid ones) and a hoodie was my go to for getting liquor, Chinese food and pets (not in order), to bowling with a visiting relative (uncle) as well as seeing the premier of Insidious: Last Key. The fact that I was diverse with those pants not only showed me that you don’t need much but also gave a range of different things to do in just those one pair of pants.

Like this example, if you can be diverse with the things you already have your need or want for more clothing can potentially decrease, and your carbon footprint right along with it.

For the next posts, the second approach that I’ll have is to buy or get clothes to begin a practice towards minimalism, in regards to carbon footprint reduction. There are plenty of ways to do this but I’ll be focusing on two examples to get started.
